Daisy Pushers is about poor Kev who used the wrong Seedboom on his garden and grew himself a horde of the wrong daisies.
He’s stuck in the garden but at least he has his trusted AK. Help Kev fight through his overrun house and to the roof for extraction.
Daisy Pushers was made over the 2022 Global Game Jam where the theme was ‘duality’. I worked individually for this and made a zombie level shooter inspired by Left 4 Dead and Plants vs. Zombies over a two day period.
Originally I was going to go more realistic/horror inspired however I wanted to use this opportunity to revise Blender.
I made everything very simplistic and flat coloured and focused on the fundamentals which left me plenty of time to get everything rigged and in engine.
This was super fun to make and gain a better understanding of AI perception, level transition, audio classes and modelling in Blender.
